Description: Kenneth Amis is a professional tuba player and composer from Bermuda. When he was 15, he composed A Suite for Bass Tuba, his first published work. He began studying at Boston University, earned a Master’s degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, and earned the International Chair at the Royal Academy of Music in London. Amis has been the first person to transcribe all Bach fugues and canons for the wind section. At present, he combines his concerts with his teaching work as a tuba teacher in Longy School of Music, the Boston Conservatory, Boston University, Lynn University, and Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
